About the Artificial Intelligence Academy

Launched in Spring 2020, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Academy at NC State University will prepare 5,000 highly-qualified AI professionals from across the nation through paid apprenticeships with industry partners and two credential pathways. In addition to meeting workforce demands, the AI Academy focuses on growing the diversity of the AI workforce. Supported by a four-year, $6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, the AI Academy is one of the labor department’s current 28 public-private apprenticeship programs.
